What is it?
North Dakota Governor’s Schools is a six-week residential program for scholastically motivated North Dakota high school sophomores and juniors that are interested in learning more about Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Engineering, English Studies, Information Technology, Laboratory Science, Mathematics, or Visual Arts.

What does a typical day look like?
Students live, work, and have fun on NDSU’s campus. Governor’s Schools academic programs offer high-quality, concentrated instruction from NDSU faculty through classroom experiences, discussion groups, labs, field trips, and other activities.

What does it cost? The ND State Legislature covers all costs for NDGS including tuition, room, and board. The student is responsible for paying the $100 activity fee and any other spending money for free night activities.

Are Grades or Credit Awarded?
Students will not only benefit from this exciting learning experience, but they will also be awarded one high school credit in the discipline you are studying.

How do you apply?
The application can be found at www.ndsu.edu/govschool/applications. Applications are now being accepted. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2018.
