North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kirsten Baesler, is inviting parents, family members and guardians of North Dakota students to apply to join her new Family Engagement Cabinet. Members of the new Cabinet will meet with the superintendent four times a year, for two to four hours each. Cabinet meetings and discussions will give parents an opportunity to offer their opinions and suggestions about how to improve public education in North Dakota. The application form is on the Department of Public Instruction’s website. Parents are also asked to write a short cover letter detailing why they would like to be part of the group. The application deadline is 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.
